If you are planning to stay out in the sun all day, apply coconut oil onto your hair. Coconut oil is a natural sunscreen that helps protect your hair from the harmful UV rays.

To defeat dandruff

Coconut can be used to combat dandruff. It has a strong antifungal, antimicrobial, and antiviral properties that help fight fungus, as well as bacteria and viruses that may be lurking on your scalp.

Apply coconut oil onto your hair, focusing on areas that are dry. Make sure that your hair is completely saturated. Pull your hair up into a bun and cover with a towel or a shower cap. Leave it for about 30 minutes before rinsing.
